OUR VISION
Crafting custom catamarans that transform oceans into stages for celebration, luxury, and brand storytelling.
Each catamaran yacht is built to achieve two goals: to uphold the highest standards of marine engineering and to create exceptional opportunities for luxury events, brand activations, and promotional experiences at sea.
As the global luxury sectors evolve, our catamarans redefine how brands connect with audiences — transforming the open ocean into a stage for visibility, storytelling, and engagement. Their sails become elegant canvases, celebrating the world’s most distinguished brands across iconic island destinations.
Crafted for both performance and purpose, each all-aluminum catamaran features bespoke interiors and integrated brand presentation opportunities. Designed to host premium experiences and private celebrations, they offer an unmatched blend of durability, innovation, and prestige.
ROCKWOOD SHIPYARD invites visionary clients and partners to share this journey: to own a high-performance catamaran that not only meets operational needs but also serves as a profitable, enduring asset in the growing market for experiential luxury on the water.
Innovation drives every decision at ROCKWOOD SHIPYARD. From the materials we select to the engineering principles we apply, every element of construction reflects our commitment to performance, longevity, and artistry. Below, we outline the key elements that define our catamaran yachts and set us apart in modern shipbuilding.
Where Purpose Meets PrecisionAluminum stands at the heart of our construction philosophy, delivering unmatched performance benefits across every catamaran we build.
Corrosion Resistance
Naturally resistant to seawater and environmental exposure, aluminum significantly reduces maintenance needs. A repaint every five years is recommended, though not required, to preserve structural integrity.
Design Flexibility
Unlike fiberglass, aluminum does not rely on complex molds. Our 6–8mm aluminum sheets can be precisely formed around internal frameworks, allowing for fully customizable hull designs — from compact tenders to expansive luxury catamarans — without structural compromise.
Durability
Aluminum withstands impact where fiberglass would fracture. Critical areas such as the bow and hull bottom are reinforced with 12mm aluminum plating, providing superior protection against environmental stress and debris.
Strength, Flexibility, and Longevity in Every Design
Our aluminum catamarans are designed for superior stability and comfort, even in challenging conditions. A 78’ x 40’ catamaran, for instance, weighs approximately 70 tons — using mass and balance to minimize motion and enhance onboard comfort. Its slender front hull slices through waves efficiently, a technique perfected through years of ferry construction expertise.
For propulsion, twin Volvo 220-horsepower engines deliver both power and efficiency, ensuring consistent cruising performance. Structural innovations such as low-mounted fuel tanks further enhance balance and reduce motion, keeping every voyage smooth and steady.
A Smoother, More Stable Journey at Sea
Every element aboard our catamarans is crafted for elegance, comfort, and resilience.
Upholstery & Interior
Aluminum-framed sofas upholstered in marine-grade silicone fabrics provide exceptional resistance to seawater, UV rays, and heat.
Decking
High-performance composite decking replicates the warmth of wood while remaining slip-resistant, fungus-resistant, and easy to maintain.
Electrical Systems
High-capacity generators housed within the engine compartments ensure reliable power for lighting, catering, and event systems.
Luxury Built to Endure
By eliminating the need for complex fiberglass molds, aluminum construction reduces production costs by up to 50% compared to identical European builds. This efficiency allows ROCKWOOD SHIPYARD to offer premium quality and high performance without compromise, positioning us as a leader in intelligent, sustainable luxury shipbuilding.
